If you decide to enter a plea of guilty in Florida the court will then move onto the sentencing aspect of your case. Depending on what  the charge is, you may be sentenced right there on the spot. For more serious charges like felonies the court may set you off for  sentencing for a period of 30 days or longer.

During this period before sentencing the court will then enter and have a pre-sentencing investigation or worksheet worked up which  outlines your priors and tells the court a little bit about yourself.

After that you will then go for sentencing and then the case will be resolved based on the disposition of the court.
